An engraved gift is one where the message is part of the object: cut into steel, etched into crystal or burnt into bamboo. It is the difference between a present and a keepsake. This guide covers the types we sell, how to match a piece to the occasion, what the materials mean, how the engraving is done and what to check before you order.

Why engraving matters

Most gifts are used up or put away. A piece with the right words on it is different. It gets kept on a desk, a shelf or a bedside table, and every time the person sees it they see the message. That is why engraved gifts are the usual choice for the occasions people remember: a milestone birthday, a wedding, a retirement, a confirmation, Mother's Day, Father's Day and a memorial.

Everything we sell comes with the engraving already done, as photographed. There is no text box at checkout. That means no spelling risk, no waiting on a workshop, and you can read the exact words before you pay.

The four types of engraved gift we sell

Keepsakes and wallet cards. Metal wallet cards with a message for a husband, a son or Dad, crystal balls with a design engraved inside the glass, and engraved keepsake stones. The classic pick for an anniversary or a family birthday.

Jewellery and keychains. Pocket watches for a husband or a son, book necklaces for a daughter, steel keychains with a short message and pocket hug tokens. Metal and size are listed per product.

Home and kitchen gifts. Bamboo cutting boards engraved for Mom, engraved coffee spoons, a wooden music box, tape measures for Dad and a son, and a photo frame.

Memorial keepsakes. Small bamboo keepsake urns engraved with a tree of life, for holding a small portion of ashes close, and a pocket hug token with a remembrance verse.

Match the piece to the person and the occasion

Start with the words, not the object. Read the engraving in the product photos and ask whether the person would say it, or want it said to them. A funny line suits a 40th; a verse suits a confirmation; a plain "Best Dad" suits most dads. Then pick the object they will actually use or display: a spoon for someone who lives on coffee, a wallet card for someone who travels, a crystal ball for someone who likes a desk piece.

What the materials mean

Stainless steel. The keychain, wallet card and spoon metal. It does not tarnish and takes a crisp engraving. The product page states the metal and the size.

Bamboo and wood. The cutting boards, the keepsake urns and the music box. Laser engraving burns the design into the surface, so it is darker than the wood and permanent.

Crystal. The crystal balls are laser engraved inside the glass, so the design sits within the ball and cannot be touched or worn.

How the engraving is done

Laser engraving is the usual method for bamboo, crystal, acrylic and steel: a fine, repeatable cut that gives clean lettering. Either way the words are in the material, not printed on it, so they do not rub off.

Check before you order

Read the wording and make sure it is the wording you want, because that is what arrives. Check the size, since a 60 mm crystal ball and an 80 mm one are very different gifts. Check the metal if the person has sensitive skin. Check the delivery window against the date you need it by, and email us first if it is tight.

Delivery and returns

Including handling, most orders arrive within 4 to 7 business days of the order date, tracked. Delivery is free on orders of $150 or more. If the gift is not right, return it within 14 days of delivery, unused and in its packaging, for a full refund.
